

Most of the abaya shops are on the ground floor, with 2 more in the basement, and the first floor selling imported children's clothes. The air conditioning is also a major plus, especially from May onwards when the weather is humid.

The mall is very tidy and easily navigable compared to the other older souks in Deira. Getting to Naïf Mall on the metro is easy: Baniyas Square station, exit 2, then "u-turn" back onto the station as soon as you get out of the stairs to the crossroads and look for Al Mussallah Street to orientate yourself (the mall itself is on Deira Street, best to print out a map before your visit). My visit to Naïf Mall/ Souq was a first despite living in Dubai since Feb 2008! I went with a friend who was looking for an abaya for someone in the UK and had always wondered about buying one for myself.
